In our latest series of 'Ask The Team' blogs, today we catch up with P+B's Financial Controller Kane Templer. Hailing from New Zealand, Kane joined the team over a year ago and supports the business across all our teams.
What is your role at P+B?
My role at Pike + Bambridge is Head of Finance, I also provide support to all the non operations functions within the business.
Why did you want to join P+B?
I was coming to the end of my first contract job after arriving in the UK and I was expecting to take on a few more contracting roles before finding a permanent role that suited me. I was contacted by a recruiter who advised me of the role at Pike + Bambridge and after meeting with the CEO I was very impressed with the companies drive and vision and decided I wanted to get on board.
What does an average day look like for you?
An average day for me is different from the last, I’m constantly learning and researching new ways to improve our internal processes whilst simultaneously ensuring that the finance team is running smoothly.
What do you enjoy most about working at P+B?
We operate a challenge and fast paced culture. I like that at the end of every day I feel like I’ve achieved something and the days just fly by.
