Q&A

How long have you worked at P&B?

I joined P+B in May of 2020 – definitely an interesting time to come into a new role during lockdown, but the team has been incredibly inviting making for an easy transition. This past year has been incredibly challenging with lots of change in the market from new types of vehicles, to Brexit, COVID-19 and the resulting lockdowns, but we’ve achieved a great deal as a team and have overcome these challenges with fantastic results to show for it.

What attracted you to the business?

My background before joining P+B was in Commercial Banking. I have always enjoyed working with clients and creating customised solutions to fit their needs. Combined with my love for cars P+B has been a great fit.

If you had to sum up the Private Client function in one sentence, what would it be?

Advisory. We know that we’re different than others in the market as we take the time to truly understand our client’s needs before making a suggestion. We understand that their selected vehicle is a considerable purchase and that it deserves our utmost attention.

What’s the best thing about working within the Private Client team?

Working for Pike + Bambridge the best part would be the team I get to work with daily. On the PCC side we had the added perk of working in the premium end of the market so for me it’s definitely the cars. I’ve really enjoyed getting to learn more about electric vehicles and getting to test out new models. This allows us to be experts for our clients but admittedly we get to have some fun while we’re learning.

What can a new employee expect in their first week at P+B?

Training! There will be lots on the go and the expectation that you are keen to learn. We don’t expect you to come in knowing everything there is to know about the brands we work with or the finance products we offer, but it is expected that you are ready to learn quickly to excel.

What would your advice to any applicants be?

The culture at P+B expects a lot of its team members and dedication is really required to excel i2n the team as a whole.
